A day-long seminar on the National ICT & Cybersecurity Rating System, a newly developed web-based platform designed to assess ICT capability and cybersecurity maturity across organizations in Bangladesh was successfully held today at the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) Auditorium, ICT Tower.
More than 50 participants from various government organizations and Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) entities attended the event, reflecting strong interest in strengthening institutional ICT governance and national cybersecurity preparedness. The seminar featured detailed presentations, system demonstrations and interactive question and answer sessions, enabling participants to gain a practical understanding of the assessment process, scoring methodology and system functionalities.

The system has been developed entirely as an in-house solution by the BNDA team of CIRT. CIRT played a central role in guiding the conceptual design, technical development and strategic alignment of the platform with national cybersecurity objectives.
Speakers emphasized that the system will function as a national benchmarking and maturity assessment tool, enabling organizations to identify risks, address gaps and continuously improve ICT governance and cybersecurity posture. Participants expressed appreciation for the system’s structured, transparent and evidence-based approach, noting its potential to significantly improve service reliability and strengthen national cyber resilience.
The National ICT & Cybersecurity Rating System is expected to significantly contribute to building a secure, accountable and resilient digital ecosystem across Bangladesh.
